Crazy Hat Party

Illness. Accidents. Iraq. Israel. Lebanon. Bombing. Financial ruin. Broken homes. Molestation. This is what we hear and face everyday of our lives , living in this world. It’s easy to be engulfed in the bad news and over look the good.

In my Hometown, there is much good that happens.

There is a young woman in our community that has recently been diagnosed with malignant lymphoma. Married, three children, fourth grade teacher. She has touched all of our lives.

Last week, a group of her friends and supporters planned a surprise party for her. Following is the invitation that was ‘secretly’ being passed around.

OUR FRIEND
KRISTI MOELLER
IS GOING THROUGH
SOME TOUGH TIMES.
Chemotherapy leaves her feeling weak
and she has lost her hair.
To help her feel a little better and
show her we care we're giving her a
CRAZY HAT PARTY
We plan to pamper Kristi from
head to toe and you can help.
Wear a crazy hat that we will give to Kristi
at the end of the party - also bring a
small love gift. Some ideas would be a
candle, body lotion, books, magazines,
pens, anything that might help
her pass some down time!
Come prepared to enjoy lasagne, salad,
bread sticks and dessert!
Of course there will be fun and games, too.
YA'LL COME
Thursday, July 27th
First Baptist Church, Munday
Fellowship Hall
6:30-8:00 p.m.
SHH!! It's a Secret!

What a party it was! We are so blessed to live in a caring, compassionate community that is willing to share in the burdens of life…

There were about 50 women, of all ages, that were present to share with Kristi and give her their "crazy hats"!

There was a table filled with gift bags of all sorts
of 'goodies that Kristi can enjoy. She received enough body lotion to salve her body for a year!
