Today Is The Day!

Today is election day….November 7, 2006.

What will the end of the day bring pertaining to leadership for our State….our Nation?

We have been witnesses to one of the dirtiest political campaigns I ever remember. I pray that God will have mercy on us.

I’m thankful that I will be busy today and away from a television and a computer. I’m sure that the night-time hours will take us into the wee hours of tomorrow morning.

I subscribe to a bible verse-of-the-day. The verse this morning was , undoubtedly, selected with this particular day in mind.

I urge, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

God wants us to be a praying people. But more than that, God wants us to pray for people. The blessing of that kind of prayerful life is that we get to live peaceful and quiet lives full of godliness and holiness. So pray, dear friend in Jesus, pray as if world peace depends upon it, because it does!
