Wish I Had Written This!!

I'm guilty! I'm a blog reader. But even as much as the writer of the blog has to say, I enjoy reading the comments that people make. This morning I clicked on a comment that particularly caught my eye and then went to the blogger from where it came. It continually amazes and astounds me of the ingenuity, creativity, and the thought processes of the younger generations.

Of course, I blame the absence of these tributes in myself to my age. But, my goodness!...I didn't have them 30 or 40 years ago!

I didn't get permission from this blogger to use 'his stuff' but if he pursues the invasion, maybe I'll be blogging from a federal pen.

Wish I had written this....

"If you say the word "blogger" to most people, they'd think you said "booger" and would immediately start wiping their nose. Then, when corrected, they'd think of some over-caffeinated, angry geek who shoots flames from his or her ears and says things he or she would never even consider saying to a person's face.

Yet read the comments to a blog post about a person's health problem, or their dying cat, or a theft from their house, or something as simple as a home remodeling project. Comments are always full of encouragement and kind words.

Despite the relative anonymity of the Internet people, even bloggers, are still considerate and encouraging. That is rarely discussed in stories about blogs.

What's more, people are fascinating beings. Blogs have provided me a window into some interesting personalities. And bloggers are talented. While we're a generation that has spent our lives killing brain cells in front of a television, we still have some left over to help us put a few sentences together."
