Misty water color memories of the way we were.
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind.
Smiles we gave to one another for the way we were.
Can it be that it was all so simple then,
Or has time rewritten every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again, tell me, Would we? Could we?
Memories may be beautiful, and yet,
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget.
So it's the laughter we will remember,
When ever we remember the way we were,
The way we were.
I thought about that song today as I stepped out into the front yard and looked across the street. This big, long limosine was parked across the street.

I remembered! Tonight is Prom Night!! and little Lizzie is a Senior! Well...Little Lizzie isn't so little anymore. She's all grown up and ready to 'take the tiger by the tail'. Not to dampen her spirit and enthusiasm but I hope she has her 'dragon skin' packed in her suitcase!
♫
Following are the pictures that I quickly snapped as Lizzie's date escorted her out of the house.

♫
I just wonder how Lizzie's daughter of the future will go to her Senior Prom? I hope I'm around to see it. Anticipation....anticipation....seems like there ought to be a song in there someplace!

Blessings on the Seniors of 2007 and also on the Seniors of 1957...50 years ago!

Jackie ,nice pictures. You can't tell in todays times how the kids will go, Rowdy went to his in new Cab ,4 wheel drive John Deere tractor.
Any celebrity that bombards me with their inane political beliefs annoys me.....EVEN more when I do not agree with them!
Cute pics!

Mr. Crabby! Times sure have changed since we were that age, haven't they? Did Carla get pics of Rowdy in the JD tractor?
Oh, Queen! We are continually 'bombarded' with the inane political beliefs of celebs! They make me want to 'throw up'!!
Sweet Lizzie! We are so proud of you and the accomplishments you've made! We were so lucky to move into the house right across the street from you when we came 'back home'. We love you too!
