Thank you, David, of the blog "Mischief"! You have honored me with the Nice Blog Award!

You can tell how pleased I was to receive it because I had it posted on my sidebar several hours before this acknowledgement of your generosity!

But now, I have to break the rules. I blog in the same community of bloggers that David does, and I haven't visited any new bloggers on which to pass an award.....except ONE!
.
I have visited this blog several times and it is surely worthy of being awarded the pretty, pink, fluffy, "Nice Award". A Friend doesn't post everyday, but every post I've read has been inspirational and uplifting.

What caught my eye from the beginning was the description that she wrote concerning her blog...

It is about healing...
"Sometimes healing comes from the knowledge that you are not alone. You are not the first to have your experience but you are certainly the first to experience it the way you have. Others have been through something similar, though not quite like you. Finding those who understand, even a little, can be the balm of Gilead.My experiences are probably not at all like yours. All of us have times in our lives that need to be healed, and often, that can be done through the sharing of others with similar experiences. I look forward to reading A Friend's inspirational thoughts.

Now, if you'll notice the tiny rose. I also have it posted on my sidebar at the very top. After reading my previous post "When Push Comes To Shove", a friend of 35 years sent me an e-mail, awarding me "the rose" for the 35 years of friendship! He and his wife are "2 of the 6" of whom Dr. Swank spoke in his article.

True, long-lasting friends are hard to come by. Hang on to who you have!
