Happy Birthday To Me!

Today is my birthday!

No, not the anniversary of my actual birth, but the day of the birth of my blog. It is two years old today.

Much has happened in the two years of blogging. I've covered a lot of it, but probably not nearly enough.

The person that originally inspired me to start blogging, Roderick Graciano, is still
Walking Tacoma and still posting his fabulous photography of his walks.

There have been deaths, births, weddings, construction, pets, doctors visits, tragedies, and DQ chatter. You name it. It has been written about, in some form or fashion.

More important has been the 'incidental e-meeting' of some very wonderful people. They have taught me a great lot about interacting with people whose thinking processes vary from my own. Most of these people are of the age, and even younger, than my own children....some, the age of my grandchildren. Through them I have gained a new respect and a more tolerant view of the thoughts and ideas of the 'younger generation'.

It is interesting to know what these people, from all over the world, think about politics and social issues...other than what I hear on CNN or MSNBS.

Since the beginning of my blog, I have followed Matthew from his first heart surgery to the beautiful, bouncy little boy that he is today.

What a ride it's been! I could write on and on about people, places, things, events! But...if you've been following my blog, you already know all of it!

I pray that in a year from today, on August 24, 2008, I'll be posting about my 3rd Birthday!!
