My Epiphany

Update: From the response that I've received concerning this post, mainly from the loves of my life, I won't be making any big changes soon. Maybe in the future; and maybe never. I'm just agonna keep truckin' along! But JK, I'm keeping your suggestion on file....Olio! Love it. Also, from Anonymous: ramblings from nana!! 11/01/07

For quite some time, the S-I-L has been encouraging me to have my blog published. He believes this is something that all the grandchildren would like to have...if not to read now, to read in their later years. (There is actually a website that publishes blogs....lulu.com. If some of you know of a better site, let me know!)

Yesterday morning I had an epiphany. ( I think the word epiphany is really a spiritual revelation...but, I just like the word! And, who knows? Maybe it is a spiritual revelation!) The epiphany is to close out my For Love of Home blog and create another; publishing my Home blog and then deleting it altogether.

I've put my heart and soul into this blog and I love it dearly. But the subject of my blog leaves me somewhat limited as to subject matter for posting. I've posted about some weird things but I've always tried to tie them in, someway, with home or family. In essence, I've just about worn out the subject.

In all truth, a new blog would contain much the same content as "Love For Home" because that's my life. I have no secret life to divulge. What you've been reading is all there is. But a new blog would create some semblance of challenge. Maybe it's just time for "winds of change".

I've been mulling around in my mind all day new titles...something that would leave posting open to any subject I choose; whether it be politics, religion, inane ramblings of my mind, family, gripes and whines, or....whatever should be on the tip of my fingertips at the moment. (as opposed to the tip of my tongue) I mulled but nothing gelled.

So, I'm bringing the matter to you, my readers. All of you know my age. (I think that would be a consideration) And, all of you know that I would want to maintain a G-rated blog.

What's your say?

#1. Keep the blog as it is.

#2. Should I follow through with the epiphany of closing out "Love For Home"? and, creating another ?

#3. Suggestions for a title to a new blog...

This epiphany is not written in stone, nor on the wall! I could change my mind during the night, which is certainly a woman's perogative! It's just a thought. And, I'm asking you....

"What do you think?"

This week end is our big wedding week-end. We will be leaving on Friday morning and returning late Sunday evening.

Perhaps when we return, there will be comments left with suggestions. If not comments on the post, many of you have my e-mail address.

One last thought...Though the Burning Zeal blog is linked with Love For Home, BZ should not be affected in any way! There's some good political reading there, posted by Crabby. All I've posted lately are the political jokes! (I'm politically confused most of the time!)

It's Halloween evening and I've got to get ready to treat or be tricked!

Happy Halloween!

You must be the third blogger I've told this to- It's your blog, do what you want with it! You can try something and if it doesn't work, change it or ditch it....

I've gained many readers over the time I began this blog and I want to give them some consideration. Yes, in the long run, the decisions will be mine but I do value the opinions of other people.

Thanks for your input...
and, Happy Halloween!

You are a very talented person & easy to look at. You know what You want to do so go for it. If you decide to go to a new one, I'll try not to trash it with my butthead remarks like I have this one. May God bless You,Charlie Daniels & Matthew

Epiphany (meditation), a practice of evoking, and engaging with mindful contemplation. Breakthrough or transcendent awareness. Profound realization that seems to engage one's whole being in resonant connection with aspects of truth and insight.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Any success I've had with this blog I attribute to you and your butthead remarks! So keep the remarks coming! I wouldn't have lasted this long if it hadn't been for the encouragment you've given.

pineywoods:
and, that goes for you too!

Glad to know the exact definition of "epiphany"!

Have a wonderful wedding weekend. Enjoy the time with your family. I don't think you need to change your blog. Eveything that is in our life comes back to our home and our family in some way.
