Texas Weather

Peace to your household...

Upon departing Houston, Monday morning, 8:00 a.m., the temperature was 73 degrees.

Hot and sultry.

Air conditioner running.

Upon exiting I-45 onto Sam Houston Tollway, it began to rain.

Wind shield wiper time.

Still hot and sultry, and still raining.

After driving about 100 miles, ran into wind, along with the rain.

Temperature dripped to 61 degrees.

Air conditioner, off.

Another 150 miles, temperature dropped to 37 degrees. Defroster activated to melt frozen rain on windshield.

At Eastland, ran into snow flurries. Still 54 miles to Abilene to pick up Butch.

Entering Abilene, a virtual snow blizzard....high wind, driving snow. Barely could see exit signs.

Leaving Abilene, turning North on State Hwy. 277, heading home. No wind, no rain, no snow, no clouds. A Texas Weather Miracle!

There is a saying in Texas...."If you don't like the weather, hang around 5 minutes and it will change".

In college, because we were up next to a mountian, sometimes it would be snowing even though it was a sunnyu day. Weird...just like Texas.
