It has been a 'short' night.
There were weather alerts until midnight.
Thunder rolling, lightning flashing, sound of wind and rain; waiting for the golf ball size hail that was predicted.
Again, we were right on the edge of the storm cells and missed any real danger that might have been.
I'm not particularly fearful of storms but I can't sleep through them.
So. I lay awake and watched televised video of the Mississippi River devastation. I began to think about all the people I've been in contact through my blog and wondered if they've been affected by this disaster; and, if so, to what extent.
I thought about all the people that I know personally that are hurting and in pain...through accident, illness, marital issues, financial burdens.
I thought about our farmer son-in-law who is going through his first really bad year of farming.
I thought about my two young adult grand daughters who are still working on a plan for their futures.
The list goes on and on.
I thought about how easy it is to post on my blog all the inspiration I can find. Though for people who are going through trials, it's not that easy to apply to their lives.
I've heard many interviews of disaster victims. I live among several cancer patients. I am associated with people who have lost their life partner, or a baby. And, I repeat...the list goes on and on.
One thing I do know. Those who win the race, those who survive and put their lives back together are the ones who hold on to their faith in a loving God who sustains them in their every need.
One Way....through the Son of God, Jesus.... the only way any of us will survive.
Peace....

Inspired just keep the faith . With all that is going on God is still in control .
GOD is good"all the time"
So have we. Rather be humid and a bit hot than being 113 and 40 MPH dirt in my face any day! Two inches in the last 3 nights. Sure helps keep the dirt down.
