Barracudas

One of the criticisms (I have many!) I've had of the Democratic nominee for President is that he , as far as my lack of political expertise and knowledge extends, was virtually unknown; he came out of no where, and became an overnight sensation. This scared me. Of course, I find the prophetic writings of God's Word of great interest and spiritual issues are addressed that can be easily related to times in which we are living. Believing that the words of the Bible are God-breathed and inspired, I've desperately wanted to know more about him, validating what he says.

And then here comes the Republican nominee for Vice-President. I had never heard of her before she was selected by the Presidential nominee to be his running mate....just a week ago! (WASN'T SHE AWESOME in the delivery of her acceptance speech?) And, overnight, she has become an adored sensation! So, unless I want to criticize her for the same reason, that issue is completely invalid!!

The difference in the two nominees (in this ONE criticism) is that Palin's life is much easier to track. I may not have known her or even heard of her, but many, many people have. She was NOT an unknown to all her loving family (even an ex-brother-in-law!) and her constituents in Alaska.

So, now, I'm going to be forced to discard this argument of the "unknown" and go with the rest of them!!

Sarah Palin mesmerized me, giving me hope of the possibility of our nation getting on the right track! Yes, I've already heard negative reports of "her not writing her speech". Of course she didn't....neither do any other candidates running for office. But did her writers DELIVER the speech? She was graceful, quick witted, and authentic.

GO, BARRACUDA!!

Great post, Inspired! :)

She was not an unknown to me. I've known about her for well over a year, but probably only because I'm a political blogger. I was hoping and praying McCain would pick her, but it didn't look like he was going to. Then on the morning he picked her, I swear to you I woke up, grabbed my coffee and told my hubby "McCain is going to pick Sarah Palin." Hubby asked "Who?" LOL! Don't ask me where that prediction came from, because after I said it I thought "why did I say that?" After all, there wasn't any indication of it whatsoever. I almost fainted when McCain actually named her!

She was awesome last night. :)

Ummm, I still say I'm an American that happens to be a Republican, but I wish she was running for prez. Maybe a Sarah vs. Hillary match-up!
