Well....Holy Moly! (My old, new expletive of exclamation... ever since Sarah Palin used it....or, at least I heard she used it. I didn't question it 'cause I think it sounds just like something she would say!)
The past three weeks haven't been conducive for blogging; either writing or reading! It all began with the on-slaught of Hurricane Ike when it made up its mind that it was heading straight for the Texas Gulf. Since we had family right in the middle of it, we were glued to T.V. coverage and the cell phone. Our little evacuees left their home well before the mandatory evacuation so we weren't concerned about their safety as much as the damage that their home would incur.
Three years ago, they evacuated during Rita. This took place on the 6th birthday of our grandson. Almost 3 years to the week, they evacuated very near to his 9th birthday! Lendon didn't want to talk about his 12th birthday!!!
But the good news is, they received minimal damage and are now back in their home.
Then, there's the Wall Street crisis! So...will it affect Mainstreet and our life savings of $10.00? (Just a little jest there. We actually have a savings of $100.00!!......heeheehee) I'm the first to admit I don't understand the financial world. I leave that up to our consultant, accountant, cpa, daughter who jets around the world, pulling companies out of financial ruin. Maybe she should be meeting with McCain, Obama, and Bush at this very moment!!
Should the McCain/Obama Debate stay on schedule? Will McCain's campaign benefit from this?? Well...HOLY MOLY I don't know!! Does anybody know?
And, we've had company off and on for a couple of weeks. Now, this, I'm not complaining about! We love for our kids and grand children to come see us. Also, involvement in church and civic events have kept us busy.
So...all in all, it's been a busy month. Fall arrived and we've had beautiful weather. All is well and God is good!
Peace to your household...

Know the feeling , I'm sort out of the Mood. Was out of electricity for 4 days. Had company from Houston for 9 days , been in the hayfield for a wk. & another wk before I get thru haying.
I don't even know what 'moly' is???? Is that a Spanish dish? I'll ask Caroline!
Hey, Inspired, this is weird. My oldest daughter also jets around the country helping companies solve their financial problems. The weird thing is that when she was in school she hated math! LOL!
You probably know by now that the debate is back on schedule. Now we can count how many times Obama says "uh...uh...uh...uh...". Or we can try. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up. :)
