My list of excuses is long as to why God can't use me.
I'm tired.
I'm too old.
The world is going to trash no matter what I do.
No one listens or cares.
This post is NOT original. I got the idea from an email that was sent to me by a friend.
However, I thought it was good enough that it should be shared with my readers, not with just a few email friends.
In reading the e-mail, I realized there are no excuses why God can’t use me.
The next time I come up with some crazy excuse of why God can’t use me, I hope I remember to look to The Bible to see what He had to work with:
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a harlot
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer and…
Lazarus was dead !
No matter what problems you have or have had (addiction, abuse, size, divorce, worry, physical ailments, etc. etc. etc.) Jesus can heal you of them all. And if He can heal you of them all, he can use you to help others and to His glory! There is absolutely NOTHING that He cannot overcome. This means that as long as we trust in Him, and continue to seek His face, we can be forgiven all our sins and work to make this world a better place!
So take a look at these characters and their habits, memorize one or two that relate to your life and your experiences. And the next time you get discouraged, bring this little weapon out, and say that if God can use them, He can use me!
I don't care who you are, how much education you have, how knowledable of the Bible you are, how shy you can be or how unprepared you feel... God can and will use you to further His kingdom. God isn't looking for super spiritual Christians or those who seem to have it all together,
He wants to use you! (and ME!)
peace to your household...

I'm in the same boat as nearly all of them , except I need the end faith they all shared.
Peace to UR House
Thanks for posting that. I think I qualify for nearly all of those in the list in some form or fashion...
thats good to know, haha.
Looking at that list, I'm overqualifed. I'm healthy, have a wonderful family, a gorgeous fiancé, friends whom I love and love me, I can find at least one thing each day to smile about and there is more right with my world than wrong with it.
