Restoration

I confess.

I have an addiction.

A Blogging Addiction.

I have particularly been drawn to conservative, political blogs; one of which is the focus for this post..."A Little Restoration".

David's subject in his current post is "The Pull of Tyranny". Having been particulary stressed about the condition of our nation and the direction it has taken, I made a comment to his post. His reply is really the point of this post; one of positiveness and hope for our country.

My comment, in part:

So, Mr. Restoration...what's *your* solution?? Being an idealist as opposed to a realist, my solution will never happen; at least not until the end of time. I have agonized and stressed until my spirit has been badly bent. I won't say "broken" because I guess I still have a thread of hope.

David's reply:
Turning things around will be very difficult. The same people who are corrupting our government are the same people who have been corrupting families. It is in the family where such changes would start.

We have to start with ourselves and our families. Then we share with friends. Then we encourage them to share with friends, etc. It will be slow, because people have to heal themselves before they can heal the government.

Those of us who feel strongly must stop hiding. We need to start running for local offices and changing the discussion from the ground up. Just as I am sure that it will get worse, I am sure that people will wake up the worse it gets and join those of us who are fighting.

Then and only then will we turn it around. I am sure we will be victorious...and before the end of time. ;)

His reply is the epitome of the theme for my own blog...For the Love of Home.
Just wanted to say thanks to A Little Restoration for the encouragement.

Peace to your household.

We are in an epic struggle! If we didn't feel isolated and alone right now it would mean that we were on the wrong side!

I know I don't have to remind you that Christ's atoning acts were accomplished truly alone so that we would never have to be alone!
