And life goes on...
Butch has recovered from his illness....just in time, before he got the snot beat out of him for teedling in the floor. I appreciate the "tip" left by an anonymous commenter. You know who you are, and we'll start doing it; anything to keep our Butch healthy! Also glad the "dryer sheet" tip was helpful...LOL
We've been leading busy lives for Senior Cits of the world of Retirement; most of our busy-ness revolving around going to funerals and all that is involved. It seems almost blasphemous to go mourn a deceased friend/relatve in death and, at the same time, have a blast visiting with relatives and friends that you haven't seen in years. What a paradox!
I did squeeze in a few hours on Saturday morning, between funeral activities, to go to a Beth Moore Simulcast; at the prodding of a friend. Beth's topic was developed around Psalm 37:4:
"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart".
Now in anyone's estimation, that is a pretty short verse! Even I can recite it from memory with only one reading.
How in the world can a bible scholar come up with major discussion points from that one short verse? In fact, from the first few verses of that chapter, she had 7 major points of discussion. And they were all relevant to my life....imagine that!
Saturday night, the son of a local couple and two of his friends from found in the Gulf, after a search of 8 days! They were alive and, I'm sure, have their stories to tell! I believe that CNN has already had an interview but, being the "busy" person I am, I missed it. Who has time to sit at home and watch T.V.?
But, life goes on; good, bad, indifferent...it goes on. Personally, I work to make it a good life; the best I can. We have much to be thankful for...good health, good family, and most of all a faith in believing that God sits on His throne, in complete control of every situation. We just wait to see what the next Plan holds.
Have a good day and I'll see you next go around.

I don't know how we stay so busy but "funerals" seem to be a big part these days. It was nice that I got to spend a lot of the weekend with you. Working, soaking, grieving, and Praising God. We are blessed.
Love you, Wilma!! Same here...
This reminds me of one of my favorites, Proverbs 16:3 - Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established. Pretty good advice 4 sure. Hope Butch is still all in one piece...LOL
