Poor Butch!He's sick.
Kidney infection.
Amoxicillin for 10 days.
Dr. Mason took a blood sample to make sure there is nothing else going on in his body. Before we took him to the clinic, I had googled his symptoms and the search results scared me. What I read was about renal failure in older dogs (Butch will be 9 years old in September.) It will be several days before we get a report. We're just hoping that the anti-biotic will take care of things.
Until the medication takes affect, I'll continue to mop up what he deposits on the floor. Thank goodness for hardwood floors....no carpet with which to be concerned.
Just hope he doesn't form a habit that will be difficult to break. I would hate to send him to rehabilitation!!
