The Inspiration of Lizzie

Everyone has heard the expression, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.

Maybe this is just a tired, worn-out cliché but it still rings a bell in my tired, worn-out mind.

My blog was created to spread inspiration and love for the home. In recent months, events have taken place that stripped me of inspiration. If it hadn’t been for “copy and paste”, I fear that my blog would have been long gone.

But, just yesterday, I was made to realize how many people have read what I’ve had to say and the inspiration that many have received.

A young woman who grew up across the street from us left a comment on my Facebook page. She wrote:

“aww I just looked at your blog from my senior year about prom. It nearly made me cry ( I might have if it wasn't for the fact that I'm sitting in a classroom full of my peers!) I miss you so much and love you. You have made a huge impact in my life and that will never be forgotten!"

I had forgotten that I even posted about Lizzie that night. Going back in the archives to 2007, I found it! There are so many people, events, and “nothings” about which I’ve written. I can’t just throw that away!!

I may run out of containers to store my lemonade, but I’m committed to keep on stirring it up.!!

"I Can See Clearly Now"
is a song written and recorded by Johnny Nash. It was a single from the album of the same name and achieved success in the U.S. and the United Kingdom when it was released in 1972.

I love the lyrics to this song. It’s funny how dated lyrics can still speak so plainly.

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright , bright
Sun-Shiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been praying for
It’s gonna be a bright , bright
Sun-Shiny day.

Peace to your household. Have a bright Sun-Shiny Day!
