Proverbs 17:6
Children's children are a crown to the aged...
A "surprise on Saturday"! We had just started out to a neighboring town to attend their annual Watermelon Festival when hubby's cell phone rang. It was our grandson saying that "if we were going to be home" he and his wife would come and spend the rest of the weekend with us. It had been several months since we had seen them and OF COURSE, we were going to be at home with nothing to do.
We had the vehicle loaded with home-made ice cream to be sold at the Historical Society's fund raiser so I had hubby take me back home to get ready for house guests and he went on to the Watermelon Festival to deliver the ice cream.
Always glad to see the grandchildren! As they were leaving, Pop wanted to send one of his "candle holders" home with them. The part that holds the candle is the old electrical insulator used on high-line poles of times past. I certainly hope they enjoy their inheritance! (teasing) And all teasing aside, Pop trys to see that he shares whatever is his with his children and grandchildren.
Proverbs 13:22
A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children....
Of course, being the "in front, up front" guy that Pop is...he wanted to be in the picture too!
The woman behind the camera is .....ME!
Peace to you and your household...
