"Hidden Treasures In My Own Backyard"

Isn't it ironic how one can be associated with a locality and not really be acquainted? When least expected, you might find "hidden treasures" in your own back yard! Munday, Knox County, Texas, has been a part of me for 65 + years. Though I was away for 43 years, I stayed in touch with friends and relatives. This past week, I had as guests, my older sister and her daughter. They, too, have roots here but haven't stayed as closely connected as I have. We had a great time and did some touring, not only of the Munday area, but most of Knox County. We drove to Northern Knox to Truscott and visited a lake that I never knew existed until just recently. We received a wonderful surprise! The lake is located in what is called, the Brazos Breaks....and, it is simply beautiful!

Just to the west of the lake are picturesque pastures of grazing cattle and interesting land formations. God is such a creator and artist! He has hidden treasures for us to seek out and enjoy. It is up to us to recognize them.
