If you have looked at my profile, you know that I am an avid fan of the late Mattie J.T. Stepanek….as he wanted to be known, “The Peacemaker Poet”. This child had a very profound, and yet childlike view of the world. I was immediately drawn to his books of Heartsongs poetry for I’ve always shared the same philosophy of world peace of which he wrote.
Easter Sunday is past, and yet, for those of us who believe, that day of resurrection is part of our daily lives. This is what Mattie had to say about it:
“About Easter-time”
Easter is a long time away.
It comes when
The rains come,
Because that is when
New things grow,
Ang we have
New life,
Just like in Heaven.
