Thank A Soldier On Veteran's Day
There isn't a day in the life of an American
where freedom is a blessing unseen.
For this country walks in liberty...
There isn't a day in the life of an American
where freedom is a blessing unseen.
For this country walks in liberty...
with inalienable rights
and all are able to pursue their own dreams.
But it's easy to forget the blessings of freedom
and the high prices others had to pay,
So we could speak freely...profess & share our faith
and have the freedom of choice every day.
But never forget the many faces of the soldiers
lost in combat, in faraway wars.
And never forget their family's many sacrifices
and the reasons they're all fighting for.
Don't forget to thank the military when you see
the oppression of other countries in pain.
For it's only by the sheer, blessed grace of our Lord
that we don't live there in utter disdain.
Don't forget to tip your hat in honor of the veteran
gray-headed in his ripe, old age.
Find him in the nursing home...shake hands and thank him
for he was written on history's page.
Last but not least, lift your eyes to the heavens
and bring God a sweet offering of praise.
For you are free to worship...to bring honor to His name
and thank a soldier on Veteran's Day.

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A OLD EAST TEXAS REDNECK'S PICTURE WOULD BE OUT THERE IN CYBER SPACE. THAT PICTURE WAS TAKEN WHEN HE WAS YOUNG ,THIN & HAD HAIR.
SOMETIMES HE FEELS GUILTY BECAUSE HE MADE IT HOME & OTHERS GAVE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE.
