Lonnie is currently our hero of the times. On Monday afternoon he returned to Ft. Hood, Texas from some obscure place in Iraq that is as foreign to me as the fictional “down the rabbit hole’ of Alice in Wonderland.
Lonnie is special to us “cuz he’s our kin”….a great- nephew. At home, he’s our boy, 26 years old…a fun loving, family loving, animal loving, car loving boy. In the service of his country, he wears another face…that of Sgt. Lonnie Westbrook, a protector of our nation.
Time will be short for he will eventually be sent to some other outlandish place of service, maybe even back to the Iraq area, for he has chosen to be a ‘career man’!
We are so thankful for all the boys and girls of our nation who have given of themselves to be our protectors.
My prayer for all of them comes from Psalm 91:11
“For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
God Bless you, Lonnie!

Welcome home Lonnie! Pat told me about him yesterday. I don't know him, but felt a huge relief that he had made it home safely! Nothing makes me feel more patriotic than supporting our military!
Thank you Lonnie for the work (ministry) of protecting us that you do! God Bless You!
MAY GOD BLESS LONNIE & THE OTHER YOUNG WARRIORS FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM. MAY GOD KEEP THEM OUT OF HARMS WAY
