What Next?

We love peanut butter! Recently, we have become quite passionate about Peter Pan Honey Roasted, Crunchy Peanut Butter. We eat it on Graham Crackers (for dessert), we eat it in our hot oatmeal on these cold, cold mornings, we eat it by the spoonful, right out of the jar, as a pick-me-up snack!! I eat it on my sliced apples and bananas. Nothing is better than a peanut butter/banana sandwich!

Now, there’s been a recall on our beloved peanut butter! I tried to convince hubby that everything we put in our mouths has a possible link to some major illness but he didn’t buy it.

There goes the peanut butter in the trash!

The only good news about it is fewer calories going into my body. Maybe I can lose a lump or two.

ConAgra recalls peanut butter on salmonella chance
Wed Feb 14, 10:01 PM ET
NEW YORK (Reuters)
- ConAgra Foods Inc. said on Wednesday it is recalling two brands of peanut butter on a possible link to salmonella, a foodborne illness that can cause death if not treated with antibiotics.

ConAgra recalled Peter Pan Peanut Butter and Great Value Peanut Butter products beginning with product code 2111 after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention produced a report revealing the possibility of a link to salmonella.

None of ConAgra's product tests have indicated the presence of salmonella, the packaged food company said in a statement.

A foodborne illness that can cause death if not treated with antibiotics, salmonella's symptoms include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps.
