On the Road....To Recovery!

I'm 67 years old. This past week, I have felt no less than 76 years old. I have been almost certain I would never enter another post on my blog!

The last time I remember being ill was about 18 years ago. I was trying to teach school and had walking pneumonia. I thought I would NEVER get over that. In fact, I was considering taking an extended leave of absence from school. But finally, the medications I was taking 'took hold' and I recovered. That is the last time I've been to a doctor for illness.......UNTIL today!

Last Wednesday morning I got out of bed with a raw feeling throat. As the day wore on, I began to feel worse and worse. I mentioned in my previous post the symptons I had.

Well....I , with all my medical expertise, have been doctoring myself all this time to no avail. I gave up this morning and went to see Doc Finley. The first thing he said to me was, "Well, do I have to save your life again?" (I guess this will be an on-going joke until the day he can't save my life!)

When all was said and done, I have sinusitis....I guess that's how you spell it and I don't want to look it up. Spell check said it is o.k. Anyway...maybe I'll be on the road to recovery....2 prescriptions and a shot later.

As he was leaving the room, he warned me not to be trying to sell one of the prescriptions to all my meth friends on the street!! Such a joker!
