Happy Easter

It's such a cool thing to awaken in the morning and be reminded that....

"He changes times and seasons...."Daniel 2:21

I have been in and out (mostly in) the bed for the past 4 days with a variety of ailments. I don't know whether they're all related or whether these individuals got together last week and said, "Hey, Let's attack this person!". I've had mucous clogged sinuses, headache, raw throat (from drainage) backache, low-grade fever, etc. etc. Ibuprofen has worked wonders but it doesn't take long to use up the recommended dosage of 6 per 24 hours!

Early this morning, I crawled out of bed to go to the bathroom and looked out the window. Lo and Behold, there was this beautiful sprinkling of snow. Snow showers had been in the forecast but I kept thinking, "Oh, Phooey!!....they've been wrong before!"

This was one event that I couldn't let pass without getting a couple of pictures! Of course, I thought I had to have props to fit the occasion and remembered that I had a set of marble eggs. They make a perfect picture, don' they?




Mr. H even got into action, setting the scene for Mr. Butch, the Leader of the Pack.

The only problem is that Butch didn't know he was supposed to be 'acting'. I'll bet he was thinking "What in the heck is wrong with these eggs? They're as hard as rocks!!"

I probably won't go to our Easter Service tomorrow. I'm sure Pastor James will have a message "to lay on us"....one that we all need to hear. And, the music will be uplifting. Guess I'll catch it all on the televised circuit but it's just not the same as being there in person.

I'm thankful that I was reminded of the wondrous power that God has to make all these weird changes in seasons. Praise be to His glory!!

Rise And Get Your Easter Garments On

This message today is sent out with excitement
to the blood-bought children of the King.
For resurrection morning is almost upon us
so warm your voices & get ready to sing.
Rise early in the morning and prepare yourself
by washing with humility's soap.
Let tears of pure wonder fall down from your eyes
as you look at the cross of His hope.
Then go dress yourself in the spiritual garments
you will need for this holiest day.
Such Easter garments are not found at the store
but are given when we take time to pray.
Cover your flesh with the cloak of His righteousness
adorned beautifully with mercy's design.
Run your hands across the fabric, fashioned by the King
who ministers to your heart and your mind.
Then ready yourself for the House of Worship
where the body of Christ comes in His name.
Let the worship from your souls combine in unity
to turn a spark into a great, holy flame.
Then the great King of Glory will be pleased with the honor
and the offering of your adoration song.
Oh, children of the King, rise early and get ready
then go and get your Easter garments on.
