This is the time of year for High School reunions. There have been several reunions in the past few weeks. My own class reunion is scheduled for the fourth week-end in June. This will be our 50 year anniversary (1957) and, will more than likely, be the last organized get-to-gather we'll have.
But this post isn't about my up-coming reunion. I am posting about the Class of 1960. There are two girls (I still refer to them as girls even though they are just 3 years my junior!) who did an outstanding job of planning, organizing, and contacting for their reunion.
When we were in high school together, we were all in the band...and, we were part of an outstanding band! This is due to having a band director who demanded excellence and worked our behinds off! I can remember the mumbling and grumbling that went on at different times because of early morning practices, late night practices and in-between practices!!

I don't know how Nancy and Linda accomplished this, but they located the music that our band played in 1957 when we won Sweepstakes and had CD's made for all the class! I just can't believe they did this!!

In her note that she wrote, she said...

“Since you were in that band, I'm sending you a CD of the music we played that day to win the top prize. We really were a good band!”
I agree with you, Nancy. We really were a good band!!

Isn't that special! My dad was in the "Golden Band from Tigerland" in college (at LSU). Once a year, they get together and play during the halftime of one of the home games....it is really neat!
Mr. Mayhem has his 20th coming up this summer!
