As a young child I can remember attending a service there with my grandmother. I can remember her saying to me...."Now, honey, when you go to see the Lord, you must wear your Sunday Best!" I think she said this because of my tom-boyish characteristics and wanting to wear jeans and sneakers all the time.
As far as I can find out, this building has been vacated for at least 30 years. Interested parties of the community saw the opportunity to save this historic building and also create a community theatre. Our area is teeming with talented musicians and actors and this will provide a wonderful place to demonstrate these talents.
Over the past 14 months, there have been donations, fund raisers, and a lot of public promotions to begin the restoration of this beautiful, old building. Just this past week, a roofing contractor began the work of putting on a new roof.

The next major undertaking will be new windows and doors and lastly, air/heat. The rest will be mainly volunteer labors of love.
This project, when completed, will be such an asset, not only to our immediate community but to the surrounding communities as well.
Thank you, members of KMB for your undying efforts and vision for our community!!
Tune up your instruments and stretch those vocal cords! We're getting ready to roll!
