The motivation part was soon discarded when the stickers became so prevalent that the kids were buying them and decorating their books, floors, walls, windows of cars, windows of homes...etc. etc.
☺They're still popular for various reasons and I try to keep them on hand for different purposes.
☺Most popular recently have been the "sparkle stickers". They are colorful, eye-catching, and above all....they sparkle!
☺Being a Monday, for many people the most unpopular day of the week, let's put on our "sparkle smiles" to face the world.

I remember how good I felt when I earned a "Great Job" or a "Wow" sticker on my school work. :)
This also reminds me of a Everybody Loves Raymond episode when Marie (the grandmother) rants about how over used stickers are, how kids get a sticker for everything.

I guess I am a mean teacher. Terry bought me these cute stamps to stamp "Good work" and other nice phrases on kid's work. I rarely used them. I let my TA have fun stamping student work for me. I am too old school. The endorphine rush from learning and doing a good job ought to be enough! See why I ended up teaching in a prison! LOL!
