Don't Blink

Everyone receives the same e-mail jokes and stories. I'm sure most of you have read this list of "funnies". Being under 50 years of age, a person might glance through the list without much thought.
.
Being 50 and beyond...well, it's a little different. You begin to relate to them. A few years ago, the funny stories about growing older were funny. Now...they're not quite as funny but you have to laugh to keep from crying.
.
Yesterday, the S-I-L called and wanted me to be sure to see Kenny Chesney's video, "Don't Blink". I found it on You Tube and the link is at the end of the list.
.
The song is just a reminder of how quickly life is passing us by and we dare not blink or we're going to miss something.
.
Enjoy the fun list. Can you relate to any of them? Last, but not least, watch and listen to "Don't Blink".
.

1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.
.
3. No one expects you to run--anywhere.

.
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
.

.
7. Things you buy now won't wear out.
.
8. You can eat supper at 4 pm.
.
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses.
.

.
12. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.
.
13. You sing along with elevator music.
.
14. Your eyes won't get much worse.
.
15. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.

i love this song. i'm not over 50 - yet - but my kids are beginning to leave the nest and it just all seems to have happened so fast.

i swear it was only yesterday when my mil said to me "no matter how old they are when you look at them you still see them standing at the top of the stairs in the dr. dentons heading off to say their prayers." boy was she ever right!!!
