Winds of Change

Although this comment on "winds of change" was politically motivated, it is also true of the social and environmental changes across the world over the past half century. In the comment, the word political can easily be replaced with the word social or environmental, and still be a valid comment. I was reminded, once again, of the changes that have transpired over the past half century when I received this little e-mail concerning changes from the decade of the 1950-60.

Sometimes it's comforting to remember that decade of innocence and hope....a time of easy going, laid back living. Not that everything was all that rosy. There were times of hardship and heartache. But in digging deep in the recesses of my mind, people clung together and helped each other through their problems.

But, you know the old saying about "remembering only the good. It means you've got a bad memory!"

Believe what you read. I do remember most of the comments made in this e-mail!!
