I count myself so blessed to have been born, raised, and lived all my life in small rural communities. Those of us who have had this life style have experienced factions of life that city dwellers will never know.
Yesterday in Sunday School we were talking about this subject; comparing and contrasting the lives of our grandchildren to the lives we lived as children and teenagers.
Our leader told a little story about himself that illustrated this point and, it was just one of those things that suddenly pulled at my heart strings.
Sandy (our leader/teacher) has farmed all his life...and, reaching the age of retirement, is still out there in nature, from daylight to dark, most everyday except Sunday. As just a little sidenote to his lesson, he said that one day he heard this strange little noise. In looking around, he found a rabbit that had it's foot caught in the fence and couldn't get loose. Without even thinking about what he was saying, he said...
"and I had the privilege of helping that rabbit get loose and setting it free"
He had the privilege....he had the privilege! Isn't that a hearttouching thought?
I think that's what God does for us. He reaches down and pulls us out of the little entrapments we find ourselves, and sets us free.
It's His privilege!

I have dodged animals while driving, and then go hunting... Is that goofy or what?

Thanks for another inspirational post. As far as this cfs guy, I dodge animals while driving, and never go hunting! For me it was a big privilege to serve my country surrounded by all my outstanding shipmates, serving not for money but for honor.

I voted - have you?
Inspired, I find that when I need him most, I pray more sincere seeking assurance of his promise. He has never ceased to be there. i just don't look for him as much as I should......stay well.....
*nods* I like this. Great post! Wondered from the title what it'd be about, then it all made sense :-)
buff: yeah...that could be construed as being goofy! (lol)
crabby: Amen!
cfs: When you interject little jots of your life, I can tell you have a 'heart' for our country. I love and admire our veterans!! Bless you...
tap: Though He desires our seeking him in EVERYTHING, we have been given a choice. I am striving (daily) to seek him in the most minute details of my life. I have finally reached the age that I realize I'll never be successful in any part of my life unless He's a part of it. I am weak and I need the strength, the peace, and contentment He gives me.
Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for stopping by this morning (or whatever time it was where you are...lol)
I know. I come up with some weird titles sometimes...just for the purpose of attracting attention to that post. After all, I need all the help I can get!!
Wishing the best for you this week!!
"The privilege", that is sweet. If we look, we will find that the Lord will bless us in many tender little ways.
