UPDATE TO "GOOD-BYE BLUE BELL"
Epiphany Received...
The S-I-L called, reporting he had read the post about Good-Bye, Blue Bell.
He said, "How can H be so lucky as to have this happen to him on this date? Yesterday was Fat Tuesday. Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. He will not even have to make the decision as to what he's going to sacrifice. The decision was made for him."
This is pretty much a revelation. Though we aren't Catholic, we like the practice of sacrificially giving up during this period before Easter, the time we celebrate the Death and Resurrection of Jesus.
And, even though it was under a doctor's directive that he lose weight, the giving up of our favorite ice cream is still a sacrifice.

We are home.
All is well from the medical appointment except a weight reprimand...hubs has the directive to drop 50 pounds, with a significant amount gone in 4 months. Good-bye, Blue Bell. Hello, yogurt.
As far as blogging, I'm way behind on visiting my blogger friends. Therefore, this week, no posting from Love for Home....unless I'm stricken with an epiphany.
Everyone have a good week.

Epipyany"Jan. 6th,the anniversary of the coming of the wise men to Christ in Bethlehem" Does this mean no more POST until next Jan.6 09?
I like the low fat yogurt. In response to the 50/lbs. I told my Dr. when said I needed to lose some wt." there is more more old fat men than young Drs.
Epiphany is also "a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience."
I think I won't make it through the day without at least an update to my current post because I received an "epiphany"!
Homely...that's me! Cuz my clothes aren't fittin' just right these dayz. Hubby and I are tryin', too. I tell myself...with God ALL things are possible.

I think I may have had a experience or epiphany one night.
Diet tip: Drinking four glasses of water before every meal will help you lose weight, because you'll burn up a lot of calories running to the bathroom.
DIETING IS THE PENALTY FOR EXCEEDING THE FEED LIMIT.
DIET PRAYER
Dear God,
So far, so good. I've done very well today, and have been on my best behavior. I haven't eaten any junk food, haven't eaten any candy or sweets, haven't raided the refrigerator, and haven't sat around munching and watching TV. I'm really thrilled about that!
But in a few moments, God, I'm going to get out of bed, and from then on I'm probably going to need a lot more help with my diet.
Amen.
Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday
When: February 5, 2008; February 24, 2009; February 16, 2010; March 8, 2011
It's time to party it up, and ....eat. Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. It is also known as Mardi Gras Day or Shrove Day. It is a day when people eat all they want of everything and anything they want as the following day is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of a long fasting period for Christians. In addition to fasting, christians also give up something special that they enjoy. So, Fat Tuesday is a celebration and the opportunity to enjoy that favorite food or snack that you give up for the long lenten season.

I had an epiphany that In_spired knew all about ehiphanies in a sudden, intuitive manner. Then, her blog-epiphaniers further expounded on their epiphanies from a personal experience level. Just epiphanying...
