Humble Yourselves...

Peace to your household!

Are you concerned with the state of our world? And, particularly the state of our nation?
Here is the answer.

This Sunday Sermon is inspired by a devotee of righteousness, Tapline.
No matter what version of God's Word you're reading, II Chronicles 7:14 gives us the same message.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version)
14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (The Message)

12-18 God appeared to Solomon that very night and said, "I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I'll be there ready for you: I'll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. From now on I'm alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place. Believe me, I've chosen and sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always. As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I've set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments, then I'll back your kingly rule over Israel—make it a sure thing on a sure foundation. The same covenant guarantee I gave to David your father I'm giving to you, namely, 'You can count on always having a descendant on Israel's throne.'

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New American Standard Bible)

14...and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Have a great Sunday as you seek to humble yourselves and pray!

Inspired, I was sent that verse by my Niece and felt it was what I has been searching for, for quite some time so I passed it on. Sometimes we are so wrapped up in the here and now that we forget who allows us to be in the here and now....God Bless....stay well...

cfs: Thanks for another visit and kind comment! And, the same to you...a productive week! Peace to you...

tap: It matters not how God's Word is acquired...only that it is believed and passed on to others...just as you did. The passing of the scripture to you is definitely not an accident, but a God-thing. It makes *me* want to dig deeper into the word and find out "what else" God has for us! Peace to you...

2 Chron 7:14 is a promise from God, and an avenue for escape for our Nation. I like that. My other favorite scripture Prov 3:5 & 6 helps us make good decisions if we trust in God & Acknowledge him for all he does for us. Hope your eye test comes out good.

Crabby's Boss:

Proverbs 3:5-6 is set to music that we use every week at Faith Weaver Friends, the children's outreach ministry. These kids are growing up with that scripture in their hearts and on their tongue! I love it and catch myself singing it without even realizing I'm doing so.

Eye check turned out well. I'm good until October, with a few minor changes in my vision. I'll be getting some new "computer" glasses!

Love you, Mrs. Crabby! (also Mr. Crabby)
