Peace to your household!
I know.
I promised a Part II on the Quilt Show...but God stepped in and had me do another post for Sunday on humbling ourselves; and, when you're led, it's your job to follow.
Today, there is another challenge for me. It's time for another eye examination for the developing glaucoma. I can tell my vision is getting a little worse...mainly from using the computer. My driving glasses are bifocals. The distance section of the lens is too close to the monitor which makes everything blurry. I have to throw my head back to see out of the close-work part of the lens which puts my neck and shoulders in a strain. So....I'm going to talk to the doctor about a new pair of glasses just for computer use! But I'll have to get hubs to weld a chain to them so I can keep up with them!
The part I dread the most about these visits is the awful field vision test! This is where you look through the machine at all the little blinking lights and press a button when you see the light flash. This doesn't sound so bad, does it? My problem is that it makes me really nervous because, I know I'm not seeing all the flashing lights that I should be seeing!
Sometimes I cheat.
Sometimes I hit the button when I don't really see anything.
But the technician informed me last time that there is a margin of error built into the test to take care of people like me! Imagine that! Can't even cheat on an eye test and get by with it..
But today, I will keep in remembrance one of God's promises to me:
"Do not be anxious about anything (eye examiniations), but in everything (eye examinations), by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving (for eye examinations), present your requests to God (for good news)."...Phillipians 4:6
Back to the Quilt Show pictures. I've decided, instead of uploading many pictures on a single post, I will post a single picture with each post, inserting a little description or explanation. That way, in case I have an awfully boring post, there will be at least one thing on it that might be of interest.

This picture certainly doesn't do this
quilt justice (none of them do!)
but it is one of the sweetest things
I've ever seen.
I would love for each
of the grandchildren to have one.
Each large square has a scripture
pertaining to children, or a child's prayer.
This square is one of my favorites and most descriptive of me!
Dear God,
Always walk beside me with your arm
around me...
And your hand over my mouth!!
Have a great Monday and until next post....Peace to you!

What a beautiful quilt. I love the prayer on it too. I'm not sure you've mastered the art of a boring post yet, but I'm really enjoying the quilts. If you can prolong the enjoyment, I'm not going to complain :)
Good luck with the eye test. I think I'm going to have to attribute my eyes to the computer too. I was told when I was 15 to get my eyes checked again in 45 years, but now with 25 years to go, I think I need to get them checked.
Oh, and please don't try to write a boring post just to prove me wrong either - I like your posts just the way they are!!
Good like with the eye test thingie, ya blind old bat LMFAO.... seriously though, fingers crossed you wont need a dog and a white stick...
The quilt is gorgeous, even though I dont do 'god' (I wish I could) I still love the quotes :) AND the earth colours...
