That is a nice song. I have a theory that goes something like this. We are a SuperPower and will stay one as a measure of our faith in God as a country. As that collapses, so will God's support of this country, as it grows, so will God's support of this country.
Did you know that LDS scripture teaches that God specifically inspired the US Constitution. No other government gets such a nod in our scripture.
Rev: I agree with your theory...and no, I didn't know that LDS scripture teaches that God specifically inspired the US Constitution.
See why I love blogging? I'm exposed to so many ideas and ideals of other people!
Thanks for your comment and THANKS for the award!!
sharon: Yes, I was delighted with the alteration in the Texas Pledge!! I learned this at the first Retired Teachers meeting this year. Thanks for your comment!
tammie: You KNOW we wouldn't have missed it. Tam...you are sooo impressive when you address a group of people!! Comments made on the return home....
angel: Thanks for the visit. I've had a difficult time making it around to all the blogs that I love to read! So many...so little time! (lol)
May we always be a nation of faith. Our founding fathers had faith in God, no doubt. They believed freedom was a right bestowed on us by our Creator and not a gift from a government. We do trust God. He has blessed and prospered and protected our Nation. Hopefully generations now and to come will remember Him.
Thanks for the post. And in ref to ALR, NO, I did not know that the LDS scripture teaches that God inspired the US Constitution. See I told you so, you are NEVER too senior to learn!

I love this song, thanks for posting it.
Texas recently altered the state pledge to include the words "one state under God." I found this out at the beginning of this school year.
