After many months of no moisture, we are being blessed with much needed rain It is almost noon and we are relishing the time of just doing nothing, without a feeling of guilt. The Grand-Daughter had planned on leaving earlier but she is napping on the divan.
There is a feeling of restfulness and serenity in the house today. Even Butch and Beau have found their respective places and are snoozing away.
There was a time when on a day like today, if I felt anything at all , it would be ennui; with the dark grey sky and the cold wind enveloping us like a baby's blanket and obliterating all signs of light from the sun.
But today, all's right with the world....or at least the part of it we can see.

Beautiful description of a wonderful, peaceful moment.... I'd make some chili right now, if I were you!
Have you got that beautiful rain smell yet? I love the smell of the world when it has been getting much needed rain. When you are done, would you mind sending some over here? We could use it too - just don't send it to Queensland by mistake - they've have enough now.
Buff: Thanks for the nice comment...yes, chili would be good today but I'm sure mine wouldn't be nearly as good as your's!
tim: Isn't the smell of rain the most wonderful odor? Sorry, we haven't gotten enough to send to you. Maybe next time!!
