St.Patrick Day was My Grandfather Crowe's Day. He was in his early 30's when he came thru Ellis Island in early 1900's from Ireland. Both His & My Birthday are on the 15th of March, But he told everyone that they were on the 17th.
angel: I saw a wee bit of it on "the tube" and it looked like a *blast*!!
crabby: From now on, You'll get your birthday greeting from us on the 17th instead of the 15th...just to honor your grandfather's wishes! Hope you had a good one...
May there always be work for your hands to do. May your purse always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine upon your window pane. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near to you and May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
One green shamrock, in the morning dew; Another one sprouted; And then there were two. Two green shamrocks, growing 'neath the tree, Another one sprouted; And then there were three. Three green shamrocks, by the cottage door, Another one sprouted; And then there were four. Four green shamrocks, near a beehive; Another one sprouted; And then there were five. Five little shamrocks, bright and emerald Five little shamrocks, bright and emerald green, Think of all the luck these shamrocks will bring.
Wilma: Happy Anniversary!! What a wonderful blessing! (I'll be calling you...)
dirtfarmer: Thank you for the Irish blessings! "May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain."...It has rained all night...soft and steady. A wonderful blessing!!

St. Patrick's Day
Oh, my mother isn't Irish
And my father isn't too,
But today I feel as Irish
As the really Irish do.
For today I wear a shamrock
That is green in every way
And though I am a texan,
I am Irish -- for today
