I have deleted the YouTube video for this post due to embedding Chris Daughtry's song "Home" to my blog.
To get a musical glimpse of the glory of God's throne, click on this You Tube link below. This is the Revelation Song and contains phrases taken from Revelation, describing the Lamb of God on the throne in heaven. Watch and worship. It's worth the wait to load!

To Draw Near To God
There's no doubt about it...this life is full of needs
of one kind or another each day.
We are humbled, often desperate, as we come to the Throne
for the needs that we have as we pray.
But in my simple heart I have come to believe
that our greatest need is to seek God alone;
To bow before the majesty of the God of the Universe
and worship everyday at His throne.
For then we take our eyes from the size of our problems
and suddenly they're eclipsed by His face.
Then we see the power that we need every hour
as we look on the Author of grace.
And when we make the choice to lift up our voice
giving glory and all honor to the King,
Then we see our fulfillment is always in Christ
no matter what this life may bring.
Just looking at God's holiness will strengthen our souls
and change us every time we draw near,
Till we want to be holy and set apart for His glory
because we love this great God that we fear.
For there on that throne lies everything we will need
because the Lamb is also Counselor and Lord.
He's the Ultimate Provider...our Encourager and Hope
and the Healer who will leave us restored.
The needs of the flesh and the circumstances of life
point us higher to our greatest need of all;
To draw near to God sitting high on His throne
getting closer every time that we call.

The four living creatures, each having six wings,
were full of eyes around and within.
And they do not rest day or night, saying:
“ Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”
Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
“ You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Revelation 4:8-11 NKJV

Jackie, thanks so much for posting the things that help us keep our eyes on Jesus. It is so easy to forget WHO IS IN CONTROL and to look at what we see but not by faith. It is definitely all about Jesus. In the great chapter 11 of Hebrews we are told of the men and women of faith who "hoped on". Heb. 11:1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for." Faith...believing when we don't see..hope..keeping our eyes of Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We soo need to be reminded that it is faith that God looks for in us. wilma
Reverend Wright of Trinity Baptist Church and that Catholic Priest (whose name I've already forgotten) who just made that awful rant would both do well to come here. They need to remember they are supposed to be preaching about Jesus Christ, love and forgiveness. Instead they are spewing hatred and bigotry. It's so sad!
Thanks for what you do. :)
Wilma: I love you.
Gayle: I don't know you personally but have grown to love you through your writings and comments. I admire your political views because I feel they evolve from a deep Christian faith. Thank you for visiting my "home". I'm humbled...
