My prayer is that it remains in our hearts until NEXT July 4th!
It has become customary to display our flags only on very special occasions. Every day should be a special occasion as far as our freedom is concerned. We sing our patriotic songs once a year at a church service. Why has the love for our country become so casual? What would it take for us to regain a passionate love for our country?
The last verse of "My Country, Tis of Thee" is the one that should be remembered:
Our fathers' God, to Thee, author of liberty, to Thee we sing: Long may our land be bright with freedom's holy light; Protect us by Thy might, great God, our King!
I ask you, "What would it take to make our nation a priority in your individual life? Not "THE" priority...just "A" priority?
"Men must be governed by God or they will be ruled by tyrants." -- William PennHave a great week and I pray peace to your household!

Inspired,
Your last quote is so true. If we just put God as our priority in our lives then our country will fall right in there too.How could it not? So many people never give it a second thought. They don't realize if our country falls, so does our freedom to worship our "GOD". Not that it would stop us as believers but it would make it so difficult for many. Great article!! God's greatest blessings to you & our great country. Carly
May God bless America is right. We just left Boston, and you want to talk about a town that turns it up on the 4th, it was amazing. People's attitudes were all about the love of the U.S.
Beautiful fireworks, a bunch of people became American citizens, it was awesome.
Renewed my faith, it did.
keep praying girl and God bless America and you hun!:)
Well, my boy is patriotic. Loves the flag. Can't stop waving it. Not in the car. Not in a grocery store. Not even when the flag is totally falling apart.
