More than the conference itself, I was blessed to be attending with my Daughter II. It is seldom that we get to spend time together; just us, and us alone!
The women who held the conference are awesome, inspirational speakers. It's difficult to choose a favorite, but one that keeps hanging in my mind is Allison Allen who did a skit on......(what else would impress me?)...."The Case of the Missing MInd". This skit intrigued me because of the crazy, mindless things I so often do; the latest being going on a week's trip to Houston and not taking all my clothes. All I had was the clothes in which I travelled, 1 pair of dress slacks, my underwear, and my pajamas. Needless to say, I went shopping.
The title of this post is "Firsts". The firsts of which I refer to are:
1. forgetting my clothes
2. having a security check of my purse at a CHRISTIAN gathering
3. getting to light up my cell phone during a mini-concert of Mandisa

Terri: Yeah...just a few days shy of 69 and getting to shine my cell phone light at a concert!! WOW! I'm glad I'm living in the age of cell phones, iPods, Wii's and computers!!
About the "forgetten clothes" ... the Warden does that so she has an excuse to go shopping! (I'm on to you in_spired!)

I went to the Women's Seminar with my girls a couple of times and it was just great. But, forget your clothes that is no fun. Hooray for firsts... at our age we need a lot more of them.
