A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.
"That laundry is not very clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap." Her husband looked on, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"
The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."
**************
The point of this story is that "my own windows need a good cleaning!" Will it happen? I doubt it. At least not until the window cleaning fairy comes along and takes pity.
And, most of us could use a good cleaning of the "windows of our soul", spiritually speaking. Our eyes get cloudy when looking upon other people. We see the faults in their lives but not our own.
I think that today I'll concentrate on the "windows of my soul".
Have a good day and...
peace to your household.

For some reason that post reminded me of my little grandma Thorne...
when we were little she'd say..
in a real southern sweet little voice..
Ok girls... lets go wash the winders...
Your windows have been clean most of the time I have knew You, My bride said mine has been dingy for years. Peace to Ur house
Well, Terri? Did you girls do what Grandma Thorne said..."go wash the winders"? Love it! Sounds just lke a grandma!!! (me included)
crabby: you're like the big lug I live with...always looking at the world through rose-colored glasses! And, by the way, we picked up his new ones yesterday!! Got to go to Benjamin this morning and VOTE! We'll be in Lubbock on the 4th...
My friend Cindy and I just discussed this yesterday. Why can we see other peoples' sin so clearly but not our own. We see the splinter in their eye and can't see the log in our own. O.K. think I'll go clean my windows...oh no that sounds like work and that "ain't" happening at my house today.
Wilma: Was wondering about you and how you feel this morning. I'll call later. We have to go to Benjamin to VOTE this morning. We'll be in Lubbock on the 4th. Ooops. Guess you got this same info from my comment to crabby!
Anyway....will talk to you later. I "ain't" going to clean winders either!! (today, anyway)
Windows are supposed to be washed???
The Warden claims they won't fit in the washing machine!
Hey, Cowboy! The Warden is right about them not fitting in the washing machine. That's what you big, strong guys are for...to wash and shine those windows!! (lol)
Me thinks I will be window washing today :) just the insides though, a man comes and does the others lol......
Ok, now that sounds rude in the context of the conversation lol....

Inspired, I wouldn't look at my windows without rose colored glasses. I need the Window Cleaning Fairy! :)
Hey, Mel! I would settle for a man to do mine also! Good luck!
Gayle: I know where you're coming from....I'm waiting for the Fairy also!
Inspired, I always heard that the eyes are the windows to the soul. If that is the case as of late I have become very jaded and can only find the bad where I should be looking for the good in a person....I do not think this election season is good for me. It has a tendance to force me to look beyond words to find hidden meaning that I didn't want to find. .... Anyway,,,good post
Tapline: I believe this election season has affected most everyone in the same way. I struggle to keep a positive, upbeat attitude. And what is worse, I see no end to it however the election turns out. As Christians, we need each other; standing shoulder to shoulder and protecting each other's backs. The only thing that can keep us going is to remember that as God's children, He will never forget us nor leave us...no matter what His plans are...Thanks for your visit and God Bless. Come back and visit as often as you can.
