Busy Week! (Updated)

Update: From friend and fellow blogger, Wilma! Another great article on praying for our new president! Please take a few minutes for a "butt-whupping".

This week will be very busy for us...
at least through Wednesday.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) will be our
Veterans Day Celebration at the
County Seat of Benjamin.
My loving husband will be the MC
for the program.
You can bet there will be pictures to post!

So. This is what you get for today!

Hang on until later in the week.

In the meantime, please take time to read this article sent to me by Daughter II. Thanks, Mel....

It's one that all Americans need to read. I suppose this could be entitled...

My Final Post-Election Effort.

Tomorrow is another day , that has a tendency to make one feel guilty that they came home & some gave all/
The link You gave is right , but I do not have to like the person that it said we must respect .
peace to your house

No, crabby...we won't like him but it's our duty as Christians to pray for him.

Dr. Mohler stated:

"We must pray that God would change President-Elect Obama's mind and heart on issues of our crucial concern."

At the moment, that's all we can do. Thanks for reading...

Tuesday is our, but we hold it the on the nearest Sunday which was yesterday. I felt tearful all day, yet I think about them everyday.

Thanks for the kind comment.

You've got 10 years on me. I'm feeling pretty old this fall. I lost my father in Sept., my mother in Oct.

There is no Lake Woebegon, Minn. There is however a Skidway Lake, Mich. That was my alternate home when I was a kid. I wish I still lived in a quiet town where you could see the stars at night. Perhaps after I retire. Until then, it's a place where the only people out at 2 am are the people your parents told you to stay away from when you were a kid, and the cops.

LOVE this townhall.com article, In_spired! I'm on their email list, but missed this one somehow...Funny, it's the same 'message' I've been getting/writing about: 1) that we are required to respect/pray 2)that we Christians had better get off our patuties & crack The Book!! Then fall on our knees...

Thanks again~
I'll be back!

America, Why I Love Her
Written by John Mitchum

You ask me why I love her? Well, give me time, and I'll explain...
Have you seen a Kansas sunset or an Arizona rain?
Have you drifted on a bayou down Louisiana way?
Have you watched the cold fog drifting over San Francisco Bay?

Have you heard a Bobwhite calling in the Carolina pines?
Or heard the bellow of a diesel in the Appalachia mines?
Does the call of Niagara thrill you when you hear her waters roar?
Do you look with awe and wonder at a Massachusetts shore...
Where men who braved a hard new world, first stepped on Plymouth Rock?
And do you think of them when you stroll along a New York City dock ?

Have you seen a snowflake drifting in the Rockies...way up high?
Have you seen the sun come blazing down from a bright Nevada sky?
Do you hail to the Columbia as she rushes to the sea...
Or bow your head at Gettysburg...in our struggle to be free?

Have you seen the mighty Tetons? ...Have you watched an eagle soar?
Have you seen the Mississippi roll along Missouri's shore?
Have you felt a chill at Michigan, when on a winters day,
Her waters rage along the shore in a thunderous display?
Does the word "Aloha"... make you warm?
Do you stare in disbelief When you see the surf come roaring in at Waimea reef?

From Alaska's gold to the Everglades...from the Rio Grande to Maine...
My heart cries out... my pulse runs fast at the might of her domain.
You ask me why I love her?... I've a million reasons why.
My beautiful America... beneath Gods' wide, wide sky.

Susannah: Thanks for the visit. I'll be looking forward to hearing more from you!!

sandstorm: Oh yes he is your president unless you're planning to make a quick exit to Mexico or Canada! You don't have to like him, agree with him, or even look at him but it's your job to stay in touch with your congressmen to vent your issues against him! If we're not careful, we'll prove him right when he called us "bitter". Stay firm in your beliefs but shout them to sources that might be of some help....mainly GOD!

Love you, S-I-L!! I value your interest.

and, btw...love the poem/song!!
