For those of you who visit the comment section of this post, I must confess I don't feel as positive as it might lead you to believe. But, considering the content of this Love For Home blog, I felt that I should be as inspiring as possible. As Daughter 1 said, when she called, the world is not coming to an end. I never thought it would...but there will certainly be changes with which to deal and adjust.
Thank you for your readership of my blog and for your comments.
Queenie: In case you are wondering about "my" comment, my (and many other of my readers) presidential candidate lost the election. But "life does go on" and we will endure. I posted these thoughts for myself more than anyone else...certainly food for thought.
Terri...you're a sweetheart! Have I ever told you that? (only a few dozen times, I'm sure!) Now...on to what we can do to hold it all together!! love you, too!!
Life goes on..... My mother died, Tuesday of last week. My father died in September.
My sister, who has been waiting for my mother to die for years and I exchanged email. It took 3 emails for us to come to the point of, no I'm not going to buy your lies, and her to she still hates me.
Life indeed goes on. The more it changes, the more it stays the same.
real cab driver: I'm so sorry about your losses. I could write you a sermon about finding acceptance of your losses but it is too soon for you to be very receptive to any overtures of sympathy and/or compassion.
I too have a sister who I've not talked to in 14 years (which began soon after the death of our mother)...so, I know where you're coming from.
I didn't write the post...it's a web image that I posted, in hopes to make myself feel better...not for anyone else...so, they're not my lies...they're someone elses.
I clicked on your blog and it looks like it will be very interesting reading. Cab drivers are intriguing. I intend to visit it again.
Whoever you are, wherever you came from, I welcome you back to my blog.
"Life indeed goes on. The more it changes, the more it stays the same.
You must be a very young person, because I can assure you...life doesn't stay the same. Ask any senior citizen 65 or older...
inspired, I can tell you life is too short to worry about who will talk to whom about what....If a person has a problem with another, unless that scab is lifted and cleaned properly the fester will remain. We wound too easily and expect the other person who is hurting as much to understand our hurt...They do not because they do not know how much you are hurting. Many times it helps to say..."you know when you talk that way it really hurts me" Give it air to breathe you would be surprised how this sometimes open goors that previously have been closed....stay well and God Bless.....
aahh, Mel! I'm beginning to need "reminders" most every day. Most of the time, I'm posting for myself...not for others. But if by chance others benefit, that's just "icing on the cake". Thank you, dear e-Friend!!
