Out of the loop.
In a funk.
Not motivated.
Lazy.
Call it what you will, but to keep something new on ye olde bloge, I rely heavily on Mikey's Funnies. When my "ship comes in" I'll donate a million dollars for the maintenance of Mike's website.
Thanksgiving is upon us.....NEXT WEEK! To help all of us "older" ones for the onslaught of heavy eating and no exercise, Mikey has posted some really good advice to help us prepare. The only problem is that we just have one week to prepare! But one week is better than "no" week.
Read and heed!
EXERCISE FOR OLDER ADULTS IN PREPARATION FOR THANKSGIVING
♫
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
♫
With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.
♫
Each day, you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
♫
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks.
♫
Then try 50-lb potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.
♫
After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.

This is about how my exercise is going. I walked l/4 miles yesterday and l/2 mile today. But I will admit I feel better. The days have been beautiful so I am trying to work back to my 2 miles. Maybe by Thanksgiving.
Inspired, You almost had me going....that's the next big legal battleground. Sueing fast foods schools, etc for making our kids fat......Great post......keep us smiling....stay well.....
Love the joke! LOL!
I exercised every day. Leg lifts, crunches, walks... but then I had cateract surgery and the doctor said I couldn't do anything strenuous for two weeks. When you work out like that and suddenly stop your entire body absolutely SCREAMS at you! *sigh*
