The Reason For The Season

It's not fun being sick!

Especially this time of the year when you should be glowing with the prospect of getting your home all ready for family at Christmas.

In times past, by December 1, my tree has been decorated with brightly wrapped gifts displayed. Every room showed signs of decoration....even the bathrooms.

Not this year!

It all started with Hubs a couple of weeks ago. I flippantly posted about our inane conversation when he started his coughing. (the post where "Doctor Dog" sent all his cures) He ended up by going to the doctor and getting a steroid shot to make him feel better; and some high powered decongestant of which I had never heard; and some kind of pills to take for 10 days.

Me? I've just toughed it out.

The worst is over. Today, we have to get out and get what shopping done that is going to be done, in spite of the high wind alert that is in the forecast.

Now that we're over the coughing, sneezing, blowing noses we need to get in double time and make up for a late start!

Here's hoping that your Holiday preparations are going well and we ALL need to remember in the hustle and bustle of getting ready, the reason for the season....the celebration of our Saviour, Jesus!

Peace and contentment to your household...

Sorry you haven't been feeling well. AS far a getting witht he season. I'm not with it....I haven't been shopping and as for the past few days. My basement flooded. Power was out for 14 hours. Emergency generator wouldn't stay running, hence the flooding....Couln't buy another one. Took the one I had to be fixed and it was completed 1/2 hour before the power came back on.....Very cold, with no heat...My son and family came home as they had no power and ours was back on....Daughter came home with her family,,Their power was out....Grandson's significant other gave birth to a healthy 8 pound girl, which we thank God for.....other that these things we have had a very uneventful week....stay well and God bless....

Proves Hubs is a nice guy in that he will share EVERYTHING with you!

Hope you're feeling better by now.

The Warden is a little slow this year getting our decorations up also. She says I need to help ... HEY, my job is to get the boxes down from the attic!!! The rest is hers ... don't you agree?
