I forget to check out this writer's website, "Charlie's Soapbox", but I can depend on one of my dedicated readers to keep me up to date on what he has to say. (Thank you DWhite!)
I chose to post this on "Love for Home" because I have more readers here than on "Burning Zeal". Charlie Daniels seems to 'know my heart and mind'. He says exactly what I would like to say but don't have the political knowledge nor the 'know-how' to say it.
In this time of turmoil and political unrest, I forget what our America is truly about. And, probably, many of you are the same. In the following post, we are reminded.
God Bless America!

Just to show you how depraved and crazy the enemy we face is, now they want to kill The Pope. And why, because he read a piece that was written hundreds of years ago that they consider derogatory to Mohammed. Never mind taking it out of context, never mind hearing what came before and after the remark, just go out in the street and wreak havoc. Kill a nun, burn Catholic churches, threaten, intimidate, jump around and holler, burn pitiful effigies and just generally let the world know just how demented you are.
Now it's against Islamic law to even talk about the peaceful religion. Well let me tell you something about my homeland. This is the United States of America. We say what we want to, when we want to, about who or what we want to, in whatever way we want to, wherever we want to say it. It's called Freedom of Speech and I know it's foreign to the radical Islamic leaders and the pitiful race of sheep you herd around in front of the television cameras of the world.
I'd like to let you in on a few things. First of all, don't judge us by our media. Guts and gonads in our national media are about as rare as hen's teeth and this bunch of lilly livered, politically correct, flower children are just about as likely to take your side of an argument, as they are the people in their own country.
In other words, don't judge us by our milksop media. And don't judge us by our politicians, especially our senate. They are an embarrassment. We have a hundred different senators and a hundred different agendas, the result being, they can't find their rear end with both hands. So pay no attention to what they say and do, though they are supposed to, they don't come anywhere close to representing what's going on out here in the midlands.
I can see why you think America is a weak race, if you judge us by our media or what our politicians have to say, but I've got a rude awakening for you. That ain't America.
If you want to see America go to a NASCAR race or a Friday night football game at some little town in Texas. Have some eggs and grits in a truck stop in South Georgia, check out a rodeo or pick up basketball game in the Bronx. Take a look at the people around you and you¹ll find that they don't look anything like the pansies you see on TV or the politicians whose picture sare in the newspapers.
No these people are what America is really composed of. You won't see them with Katie Couric or on the front page of the New York Times, but I'll dare you to walk up to one of them and challenge, because they'll kick your sorry butt up between your shoulder blades. It's high time somebody did.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
