What Better Entertainment?

(I said in my post that my candidate "hardly made a showing". Guess that was not a true statement for he came in third!!)

The Iowa Caucuses were interesting to say the very least. This is the first time I've been interested enough to take note of what's going on. If it's ever been televised before, we've just channel jumped to an old rerun movie.

Wolf Blitzer kept reiterating about the confusion of the democratic caucus and it's structure. Was he ever right!! I never did understand the procedure of candidate selection. On the other hand, the republician selection was quite simple.

All in all, it seemed pretty much like LOONEY TUNES but as I told hubs, it's because we are so out of touch with the processes of politics.

Now, I'm looking forward to New Hampshire to see what's going to happen. The New Hampshire Democratic and Republican Presidential Primaries will take place on Tuesday January 8, 2008.

And, I'm interested to see how the second and third running candidates change their course of action.

I wasn't a bit surprised in the outcome of this caucus. The whole presidential race will be an explosion of age difference of the voters; young, first time voters looking for change vs. the older, experienced voters wanting preservation of our constitution and the foundation upon which it was written. I for one am for the latter. It has taken me months to decide upon a candidate that I feel meets my needs and desires for our nation. And, he hardly made a showing in Iowa. BRING ON NEW HAMPSHIRE!!

Yes....to the occasional visitor to the world of politics, as I've been, it all appears to be nothing more than LOONEY TUNES; but what better way to be entertained!

God Bless America!

I have to ask- Ron Paul? He's from your neck of the woods- what do you think about him? Nobody is perfect, but he does say some things that really strikes a cord with me.

buff: On Ron Paul's Summary of Positions (along with other candidates) there were too many questions that he didn't have a clear-cut answer...and some he didn't respond to at all. That made me kind of nervous. I've decided on Fred Thompson, though I fear I'm just dog-paddling in lieu of long-distance swimming...We'll see what happens...

Have a good day!!

Ron Paul is an isolationist. He would roll up our carpet, bring all of our troops home and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. It would be nice to be able to do that, but it's unrealistic in today's world. I think he would be every bit as dangerous as any of the Democrats, only in a different way.

I am happy that Fred came in third in the Iowa caucus. Very rarely does the frontrunner win the whole enchilada just because they won in Iowa, which is one of the reasons Rudy didn't even bother with Iowa, another reason being he wouldn't stand a chance in Iowa anyway, no matter how much money he spent campaigning. But I'm for Fred, not Rudy, although I will vote for any Republican who wins, because I'll not throw my vote to the Dems under any circumstances.

The Dems keep squawking that they are all about change. Well, change just for it's own thing is not always a good thing. After the entire thing was over last night, while they were sweeping the floor in Hillary's camp, the American Flag was left lying on the floor. I have the picture. I am completely disgusted with their lack of respect for our country and our flag. If we get a Democratic President we are going to have to put up with four years of a President who has absolutely no respect for our flag, our country, or the rights of the people.

Got off on a bit of a tangent, and I could go on longer, but I'll spare you. (Lucky you!) :)

Blessings!

First - Good Job to those in the state of IOWA! One thing I noticed [and my GOP friends are trying to avoid this subject] is the fact that the DEM side was able to beat the GOP side on a 2-to-1 ratio. The attendance at the DEM caucus was more than double - and of course the GOP is using the independent voters as an excuse [a large majority of the independent voters went to the DEM caucus] but that is BAD news anyway. Both parties need the independent vote to win the election. We will see what happens in New Hampshire. As per my 2008 predictions the nominees will be Edwards and Romney - and I will not change my call based on the IOWA results. Oh by the way, we must wait until AFTER Super Duper Tuesday 2/5/08 to declare any of the so called front runners out of competition. See, I told you so, politics can be fun! Have a productive weekend.

I appreciate the time you took for your comment. I've put in some time, studying the issues and how each candidate supports or not. I still have a lot to learn. But, like you, I can support any of the Rep candidates...whoever should be nominated.
Have a great week-end and Blessings to you!

"As per my 2008 predictions the nominees will be Edwards and Romney" I could live with this!

What I'm really looking forward to is to see just how close you come in your predictions! Whatever...you make life interesting!

Oh, no! Don't tell me that!

I tell Hubs every day or two..."Let me check with Tapline to see what he has to say about (whatever). You've become our 'authority'!!

All teasing aside, we do enjoy your postings and place a lot of confidence in what you say.

Have a great weekend...
