I don't think there's anything that can make a woman feel worse than needing a hair cut, especially after she reaches a 'certain age'.
As a teen-ager, I had long, thick, auburn hair that appeared to be the envy of a lot of people. Everyone had a comment to make about my hair. I think Hubs married me for my long hair, because the first time I got it cut, he would talk to me out of the side of his mouth so that he wouldn't have to look at me.
There is something about grey hair and long hair that just doesn't mix!! So...for a number of years I've kept my hair very short. I've considered the current trend of streaking, frosting, high-lighting, reverse frosting, etc. etc. but maintenance is so costly that I feel that money can be put to better use than on vanity.
As of the moment, my head is long overdue for a shearing. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I lost my barber....no, not through death or illness, thank God! but through some temporary changes in her work life.
So, today, I'm going to a new person to see what miraculous changes can be wrought in my appearance and attitude.
I don't mind looking my age, but I sure hate looking 10 years older!! Oh, and by the way! Those of you that have read previous posts; I've lost 5 pounds!!
Have a good day!!
