It has been a great week-end...a rare moment.
Our first-born daughter was here for a short visit. This is the first time we've seen her since Christmas and we had "lots" to discuss.
The picture of us is several months old because for two days, we hardly got out of our pajamas, combed our hair, or put on make-up. We just had a talking good time.
Due to her work schedule and travel time, there are few opportunities for us to share these special mother/daughter times. (plus dad)
I write this as though it was just the two of us here. Her dad was here also, and enjoyed her visit as much as I.....but......he's not the one writing the post, is he? So. If I want to lead you into believing it was entirely MY time with her, that's my perogative!!
We are thankful for this time with her and, of course, hope that next visit will be sooner and longer! Parents are never satisfied!!
A lesson I've learned:
Your children and grandchildren may not always do exactly what you would wish for them but love them anyway. They're a gift from God.
Peace to your household...

Glad you enjoyed the quality time with your daughter.
What a great way to spend the weekend - if you write it, you get to write it the way you want to! I hope you get to do it again soon. Mother and daughter time is precious.
did you burn the bras? i would've!
love the family pics hun!!
Sounds great. I love getting together with distant family. I often wear my pajamas all day. They're the best.
What a sweet time you had with your daughter! You are right, they are gifts from God.
Glad you three had some time together... it's priceless!
My youngest daughter is actually our granddaughter who we adopted when she was six. She's all grown up now and her last visit was at Christmas. We really enjoyed the time together. God bless you and yours for the loving family you are! :)
