We've had a pretty laid back afternoon since church this morning. Our pastor always has a great message for us but this morning, my mind kept wandering back to Power Lab Days of this past week. (forgive me Pastor J)
Before Sunday School, a friend said to me about VBS..."I can't believe I'm saying this BUT! I just can't wait until next year!!" When a 75 (Gosh Ann! I hope I didn't make you older than you are!!) year old woman can say that, you know that 'something unusual happened'.
I have no particular subject to write about today. Just want to let all of you know we're taking another road trip tomorrow (Monday)....going all the way to the Hub City (Lubbock) and a few miles west to the Home of Waylon Jennings (Littlefield).
So. This post is what you're going to be seeing when you click on "For Love of Home", until Wednesday or Thursday.
I keep thinking about the wild hogs and the domestic cattle co-habiting in the previous post. Surely there is a scriptural implication to this unusual phenomenon to apply to our daily lives.
I've given it some thought but not a lot. Maybe some of you could help me out!
Tammie? Spencer? Carlene? Wilma? Dewayne and/or Glenda? Tapline? Anyone?? Leave a comment and let me know what you come up with. I would love to have something to read when I return.
Hey, y'all! Have a great week If the Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise, I shall return! I may even get a chance to go by and see the Thompsons!
Peace to your household....
(posted are a couple more pictures of the kids at VBS....I have oodles more!)

Maybe something to the effect of Gentiles and God's chosen people, the Hebrews (or modern day Jewish people). In the Bible, the Lord called cattle as "clean animals". Swine were not until Jesus told Peter to "kill and eat". Peter argued but later found out. The "swine" in the picture is the lesser desirable of the two types: feral and domesticated. I'll try to figure something else out. Have a great trip to LBK and LTFLD.
adorable kidz!!!
Howz about the sheep and the goats implication???
I'll miss reading your blog while you're gone! I hope you have a wonderful and safe trip!
You ask for something hard when I'm as dumb as a rock.
In some religons swine are considered unclean , in another cattle are sacred , yet here the 2 are living in harmony . Though one still being a hog & the other one a bovine.
The Gospel according to CRABBY
I am getting ready for VBS here too....ours starts this Sunday and I am racking my brain as to what to do with a Medieval Theme!
Hope you have a great trip!
inspired, Im sitting,,,,trying to respond in an intelligent manner.......Can't quite put my finger on what I want to say.....Probably the cloven footed animals weren't cooked as completely as they should be by tribes on the go....so to speak, hense people were getting sick and probably dying because of triginosis. Forgidding the tribes from eating this type animal saved lives. It was also true with the Islam. I believe the koran as with the Torah, it told the people how to live and what to do in life's circumstances. When one could and could not sleep with their wives. Washing of hands etc...etc....I ramble...stay well...
All of you are a great bunch of blogging friends!
Those of you who commented on swine/cattle have great minds. Thanks for all your comments. I'm not going to reply individually this time...I'm pressed for time.
Thanks for visiting.
