Page Four, The Finale!

This post is going to wind up the report on our little family gathering. All of us were together except the oldest grand daughter and our oldest grandson and his wife. If they had been here, the weekend would have been perfect.

But plans have been made to have this gathering once a year. It is so seldom that everyone can be here at the same time.

I had planned on taking many more pictures but.....you know how that goes!

Earlier in the day, the two sons (in-law)
made a display of all the "vintage" tools
that Hubs has collected...on the back fence!
They are great boys!

One great thing was accomplished!!
The "arsenal" was dispersed between
the two sons-in-law! Yeah!!

What are they doing? I have no idea.
It was getting late and they're still milling around like lemmings.
End of a great day!

Everyone made it back to their respective homes. The Houston family had to leave very early on Sunday morning. The rest of the family left soon after.
As the first group was leaving (6:00 a.m.) Butch the Beagle escaped! Down the street he ran, with his nose to the ground, and his ears flapping! If you're not in the habit of following this blog, you won't know that Butch is never allowed to be free! When he gets out, he's G.O.N.E.!!

But, there we were...my daughter and I, in our night clothes, chasing Butch down the street, up the alleys, and into neighbors yards! We were lucky...Daughter cornered him and held him until I could get a leash on him!

Poor Butch! He doesn't get to lead a "dog's life"!

Lemmings are small rodents, usually found in or near the Arctic, in tundra biomes. Together with the voles and muskrats, they make up the subfamily Arvicolinae (also known as Microtinae), which forms part of the largest mammal radiation by far, the superfamily Muroidea, which also includes the rats

crabby: Yep...we did have a great time...we should have had a video of the Butch-chase!

S-I-L: Lemming is the first thing that came to mind when I was writing and looking at that picture. (heehee..gotcha!) I've always pictured them as scurrying around with no leadership and no goal in life, which of course, DOES NOT apply to my family!! But you have to admit, by looking at the picture, there seems to be no motive for all the meandering that is going on. I sure hope this doesn't lead to a migration and mass drowning!! (lol)

Hi, -eve-! Glad you stopped by. Yes, Butch does look good. He should! He might not get to live like a dog; but he lives like a king around here! Take care, Sweet Girl!
